Hello, I'm Sayonne, a Toronto-based high-schooler who is passionate about working with children and aiming to become a social worker after graduation. Although I'm the youngest in my family, I've always been the one to take care of the little ones, a role that I have truly cherished. My experiences in growing up with ADHD have made me genuinely empathetic towards children and set me apart. Over the years, I have earned a reputation for being highly mature, patient, and well-behaved. I pride myself on my creativity that manifests in my love for crafts like painting, crocheting, sewing, singing, drawing, and pottery. I would love to organize craft sessions for your children! With three years of professional working experience, I have worked with children of all age groups - right from the toddlers (1-2 years) to the pre-teens (over 10 years). I am keen to take on a part-time live-out arrangement and look after one child. I am available for work over the weekend – mornings until night on Sundays, midday until night on Saturdays, and on Friday evening. Professionally, I am trained in First Aid and CPR in addition to my high school education. I am comfortable in performing tasks like cooking, light housekeeping, preparing meals for kids, doing children's laundry, bathing and dressing children, grocery shopping and errand running, and keeping the kitchen tidy. Do note that I am comfortable with caring for children with disabilities – understanding and inclusivity are at the heart of everything I do. I started babysitting at the age of 11 years old( I'm currently 15 years old turning 16 in a few months). I have experience with babysitting family friends kids. Over the summer of 2020 I babysat three kids off and on throughout the entire summer. Summer of 2023 I worked as a camp counselor for a summer camp. And on December 9th 2023 I got my CPR and first aid certificate. I know how to cook I know how to change diapers and I love creating new and exciting games for kids. First time I babysat I was 10 years old but I babysat with my sister. First time I babysat alone was 11 I watched over two four year old twins for majority of my babysitting experience. I've also babysat another family friend's kids three kids one two toddlers and one preschooler. I love kids, I want to work with kids all my life. I think being a babysitter is this step in the right path.
