I'd like to introduce myself to you. My name is Valentina ; I’m a 21 year old girl who immigrated from Venezuela, my home country, to Canada 6 years ago with my family, my parents and my little sister. My close friends and relatives have always described me as a person who is really easy to talk to, and a person they feel comfortable to be around. I really appreciate that perspective they have of me. As of myself, I agree with them! I consider myself a person who you can blindly trust, because I will always want you to be good and happy, and I’ll make sure you are. Also, I’m confident saying that I have a great connection with children. For example, when I’m at any family meeting or at a birthday party and there’s kids around, I start playing with my little sister who’s 6 years old, and all the kids come to me and I genuinely play with all of them. I really love when kids feel confident around and feel comfortable telling me when they’re not feeling good or somethings bothering them. I consider myself very lovely, caring and fun but I’m also responsible enough to know when to put limits. Also, it’s very important to me to build a genuine and close relationship with the family in order to have the best environment for the children as possible.

I have taken care of 3 kids in the past in different times. Two of them are 5 years old, and the other one is 2. I used to stay at their houses while their parents were at work. I played with the kids and try to keep them as calm as possible. I also helped the older ones with homework, and I also did light housekeeping. I always try to make kids feel as comfortable as I can with me so they can trust me, and their parents too. I like to create a good relationship with the whole family.
