I am Alexis and I am currently enrolled at Douglas College to become a teacher. I have been working with children since I was thirteen years old and have had many positions such as a babysitter, tutor, afterschool program leader etc. Over the last few years I have worked primarily with school-age children, however, I have no problem with children who are younger or older. I enjoy doing art and crafts, baking, nature walks with the children. When taking care of children I am able to help with household chores, tutoring, and any other basic needs.

My prior experience with childcare starts with babysitting as I have cared for newborns to age 13. While babysitting I handled tasks such as grocery shopping, running errands, preparing dinner, tidying the house, helping the children with their homework, supervising sleepovers and parties etc. I have also volunteered in various afterschool programs within SD36 including boys and girls club of Canada, cooking club and photography club. In addition to volunteering, I have plenty experience with tutoring at both a primary and secondary level.
