My name is Uliana, I was born in Russia and moved to Canada when I was twelve. I have great passion for young people and continually seek to learn and develop myself. A little bit about me. Moving to Canada was an adventure, learning to adapt to a new culture and a new language equipped me with adaptability and a great sense of empathy for people and especially children. In my careers I have naturally gravitated toward working with children of various ages in varying positions. My last long term employment was as a Speech Arts Teacher at The Bolton Academy of Spoken Arts. This was a five and a half year position which allowed me to develop strong relationships with my coworkers, students and parents. As a Speech Arts teacher I was instructing one-on-one classes over the school year. In my class students worked on developing strong communication skills through performance practice, speech writing and festival participation. From a younger age I volunteered as a Sunday school assistant and teacher. Later during my university career I worked at churches as a Summer intern in the children’s and youth ministry. This included running Vacation Bible School and facilitating youth activities. Additional to my volunteer positions I worked as a facepainter, sales clerk and community assistant. My long term nannying included Au pair position in UK for 8 months with two and twelve year old. As well as a four month position with a four your old child. I have lots of artistic and creative passions. This includes but is not limited to visual art, digital art, playing music, writing, singing, reading, extreme crafting, board gaming and more. I love to cook and bake and have been perfecting my sourdough baking skills. I also sew and garden and if there is a craft you can think off I either tried it once or it's on my list.
