Marina B.
My name is Marina, and I’m a university student currently studying Psychology with a goal of working in healthcare. I come from a large, close-knit family and have spent most of my life helping care for younger siblings, cousins, and relatives. Being the oldest has naturally made me responsible, patient, and very comfortable managing children of different ages. I’m someone who values structure, kindness, and creating a calm, safe environment for kids to grow in. I’m happy to help with routines, meal prep, homework, and keeping things organized around the home. I also enjoy encouraging creative play, whether that’s crafts, reading, or outdoor time. I have a reliable car and a valid driver’s license, so I’m able to assist with school pick-ups, drop-offs, and activities as needed. In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym, cooking, and focusing on maintaining a healthy, balanced lifestyle. I would describe myself as reliable, attentive, easy to communicate with, and someone parents can trust and children feel comfortable around. I’m looking forward to supporting a family and providing dependable, caring childcare.
I am the oldest daughter and oldest cousin, so I guess you could say I've been a babysitter my whole life haha. In high school I volunteered with elementary students and tutored younger students, I also usually babysat my parents' friends children and picked them up after school on several occasions. As a psychology student at the University of Alberta, I've taken several courses on children's psychological development and I am certified in CPR-C for both children and adults. I love working with kids and am happy to help with pet-minding and light household duties, even tutoring if needed.
