For the past year, I have been adding value to the lives of children and senior citizens alike. I hold a Community Support Worker diploma and have gained experience as a Personal Support Worker and a in a Complex Care Senior's Unit with 30 loveable elders. As an organized, adaptable person with a kids, I have learned to knowledge about learning disabilities and mental health disorders into care plans individually tailored for each child, to meet their specific wants and needs. I am proficient in tasks such as housekeeping, cooking, planning interesting activities, and more. However, the heart of my caretaking is environment filled with laughter and learning in order to inspire children to find happiness in every moment. Now the fun part! I have a very bright, loud, and personable personality. I believe the best medicine, and love making people smile. I have a passion for working in social work, and have a comprehensive Community Support Worker/Mental Health worker attended this 2 year program condensed. Included in this was a special focus on vulnerable communities, whether , youth with mental disabilities (on the spectrum, physical comorbidities, etc.). As I am currently working with seniors with dementia, I am experienced in taking care of an individual as if they are my own. My experience with caregiving duties from both a past job working with a tween boy with Down Syndrome as his peer support worker and my current field, includes pericare with young babies/children, cooking with dietary restrictions/different textures, feeding, Laundry and full house cleaning (I used to be a housecleaner). My favorite part of the job is always activities and goal-plans for the child specifically, and their wants and needs.
