I'm a caring individual who loves to work with young learners. I have immense experience working with children, and I am always continuing my learning. I grew up in a small town in Manitoba and moved to Calgary in 2022 and bought a house in Strathmore in 2023. I hold my Early Childhood Education Level 1. With CPR and First Aide Childcare. I am hoping to continue studies into ECE 2. I have great time management skills, communication, and creativity. Once getting to know your family better, it will as be as if I'm your oldest child/ favourite sister. I'm here to help! I live in a cute little wood house, with my two cuddly cats, energetic dog, and caring boyfriend. We are outdoor enthusiasts, we go camping most weekends for hiking, fishing, and getting off line. I love to garden, paint/colour, bake! Some of the things I'm always doing are playing with my dog/cats, cooking and cleaning! I love to clean. I do a little everyday and after years of living alone with pets, I know each hidden spot to check for dust bunnies. You'll find me reading every morning, and practicing my gratitude. I believe in mindfulness and learning our emotions to better live day to day. Respond vs react! I also love creative development, it's where our truest selves shine the brightest, were given little pieces to create a big picture, and kids have a huge imagination! I love being able to give them the ability to learn through an emerg/Montessori style. I'm excited to meet you and your family and see how I am able to help and be apart of your village 😊 I am an experienced and enthusiastic individual who loves working with young learners. I had a Nanny position for 2 boys aged 4&6. We did lots of outdoor adventures (biking roller blading, walks, scooters, park visits, hunting for bugs, and sports/games) we always enjoyed baking and making our meals together. We did a few lessons each day to prepare for school. Arts and crafts were a MUST each day! I worked within a behavioural program with ages 6-12 and we worked on regulating and working along side peers. Adjusting to constant changes. & Providing new experiences for kids who might not have that chance out of school. (Swimming, hockey games) Experience at a daycare with ages 7mo -6yrs. We did a lot of reporting on the child's day to inform parents. Changed diapers and lead fun activities (circle time, finger painting, making play dough, and outside water play! And so much more) I truly love working with young learners. They teach me so much everyday. I love that they are curious and ponder about everything. I encourage them by asking open ended questions and getting to know them! Prior to working with kids, I grew up with 5 siblings and was a trusted babysitter within my communities.

My name is Nyx. I’ve been babysitting since I was about 15 years old. I took care of all the kids in my church (ages 1-9). This included cooking, feeding them, playing, bathing, diaper changes, errands and tucking them off to sleep. I only stopped because all of them grew up and are able to be trusted home alone. But I am a responsible yet fun babysitter. I will make sure your house is clean while keeping your kids happy and safe! Sometimes I like I bring surprise snacks and slushies for the children too. But other than that, my main qualification is cooking nutritional meals for the children. Nothing too fancy, but favourful enough to keep them happy. Babysitter (for Family Friend): 2 children, one newborn and one toddler, cooked, cleaned, fed, played, and put kid kids to sleep Walmart Bakery Associate: Cleaned, baked, organized and helped customers
