My name Casey and I am a friendly, engaging, super fun lady looking to expand my job experience in child care. I am the eldest of 4 children and when I was younger, I often helped my mother out around the house and looking after my siblings. I have two brothers (aged 23 and 17) and a sister (aged 13). I am a graduate from Ontario College of Art & Design University, majored in photography and currently working as a freelance photographer and Dry Cleaning Specialist in Uxbridge. Since I helped my mom out with my siblings when I was younger, I realized that I would love to continue working with children and thought maybe nannying would be a great idea, especially when I went to volunteer in Ghana, Africa for two weeks in August 2013. It was an eye opening experience and absolutely wonderful, I miss it so very much. For the last year, I was working with a beautiful special needs girl and it gave me the most rewarding experience I have ever had working with children, thus inspiring me to continue exploring child care. When I am not doing photography, I am playing with my dog or cat, biking, running, painting, sketching or testing out some DIY crafts or trying out new vegetarian recipes.

I have been babysitting since I was 13 years old, ranging from newborns to 10 year olds. For the last year, I was working with the most amazing little girl, aged 10 who has Rett Syndrome, which is a neurodevelopmenal disorder that affects girls almost exclusively. It is characterized by normal early growth and development followed by a slowing of development, loss of purposeful use of the hands, distinctive hand movements, slowed brain and head growth, problems with walking, seizures, and intellectual disability. She communicated with us, her parents and myself using her eyes as she was unable to speak sentences, instead said default words like 'Bee' and 'E', 'mumma' and 'dadda'. Sadly I had to leave that job and now I am living in Stouffville, looking to continue working with children.
