Irene N.
I'm a 24-year-old dedicated child care provider with a passion for working with children. Growing up as the only girl among six brothers in a Christian household instilled in me strong values of compassion and responsibility. I love creating fun and engaging experiences, whether through family game nights or outdoor activities that encourage exploration and teamwork. Recently, I've also developed a newfound love for going to the gym and staying active, which I believe is important for both physical and mental well-being. Being part of a large family has shaped my nurturing spirit, and I’m committed to making a positive impact in the lives of the children I care for. Each day brings new opportunities for growth and joy, and I truly cherish the connections I build with the families I work with.
As the only girl among seven children, I learned the value of responsibility from a young age. My brothers often fondly refer to me as their second mom, and that role has always felt natural to me. Caring for them, guiding them, and sharing in their joys and challenges ignited my passion for nurturing young minds. Last year, I relocated to Canada and began working as a caregiver for three wonderful children, aged 10, 13, and 14. Over the past year, I have truly become a part of their beautiful family. It has been an incredible experience watching them grow and develop, and I feel privileged to play a role in their lives. From supporting their academic pursuits to engaging in their hobbies and interests, I have cherished every moment spent with them. My commitment to early childhood education led me to pursue a diploma in social work and children advocacy, equipping me with valuable skills to support children and families effectively. I understand the unique challenges that come with this transition, and I strive to provide a nurturing, enriching environment where the children feel safe and valued. Each day spent with these children reminds me of the joy and wonder of childhood. I am grateful for the trust their family has placed in me and for the opportunity to help shape their experiences during this important time in their lives. Starting my journey in child care at just 15, I began babysitting my little brother and cousins. Those early moments solidified my love for children and the joy that comes from watching them grow. As I began babysitting in my neighborhood, I realized how impactful my presence could be in creating a safe and loving environment for kids. At 17, I took on more responsibility during the summer months when parents needed support. With my parents' encouragement, I embraced this opportunity wholeheartedly. After high school, I opened my own daycare center, which quickly evolved into a preschool, allowing me to reach even more children and families. My commitment to early childhood education led me to pursue a diploma in social work and children advocacy. This education has deepened my understanding of the needs of children and families, and I remain dedicated to ensuring that every child in my care receives the support they deserve.
