Hey. My name is Christina, I am 24 years old and I live in Edmonton. I currently work for a Youth Organization called "Teen Time of Edmonton. ” We work with a different variety of kids, the majority being children from Group homes or who are in foster care. I also work as the manager at Steve Madden in West Edmonton mall. I am passionate about kids and teens and take the responsibility of watching them very seriously. In the past, I have nannied twice. Once being for a family with 4 kids but my main priority was one of their sons with FASD. I was responsible for keeping a routine in his life and had to learn safe conflict resolution in order to calm him during his tantrums. I was also responsible for getting all of the kids up in the morning and starting their day, picking them up from school, assisting with homework and afternoon activities My other experience with nannying was with two boys, one 5 and one 9. With the 5 year old I was responsible for driving him to and from kindergarten and helping him with activities such as reading, writing, basic math. I was also in charge of helping both children with Kumon. The majority of my childcare experience comes from Working at Teen Time of Edmonton. There I am in charge of up to 8 children for week long periods. We do activities such as arts and crafts, swimming, horseback riding, paintball, archery and canoeing.
