I am an 4th year Elementary Education student at the University of Alberta. In my time studying there I have gained 50+ volunteer hours in the classroom and 2 months of experience as a preservice teacher. While student teaching I was responsible for administering lessons, supporting students with a number of diverse needs and abilities, and gained experience managing classroom behaviours. It was a wonderful experience where I was able to learn by connecting with students and collaborating with staff. I grew up as a competitive dancer for 11 years. Being passionate about working with kids, I decided to teach the younger students as an Assistant Dance Instructor. As the assistant instructor I led lessons and supported struggling students. I started babysitting when I was 12 and have extensive experience babysitting for others as well as family. I am a positive and caring individual who is patient and flexible. Keeping my space organized is important to me and I will happily clean and tidy living areas. I currently live at home with my parents and two siblings. My free time is spent engaging with my creative passions, such as art, reading, and storytelling.
