Kaiya O.
I’m a compassionate, dedicated, and resourceful individual with a strong background in holistic health, childcare, and community service. Growing up on a remote Discovery Island in British Columbia, I learned early on the importance of connection, empathy, and building supportive environments. These values continue to shape my approach to care, and I am passionate about creating a nurturing space for children to thrive. Currently, I’m in my third year of holistic studies at Pacific Rim College in Victoria, BC, where I’m training in herbal medicine, holistic nutrition, and clinical practice. This program includes 510 hours of hands-on clinical experience, equipping me with a deep understanding of how lifestyle and nutrition impact overall well-being. I’m also a registered Bach Flower Remedy practitioner (trained at the Bach Centre in England), which has further refined my ability to support individual emotional and physical health using natural methods. From 2020-2021, I volunteered as a mental health group facilitator, gaining valuable experience in communication, conflict resolution, and building trust in diverse environments. These skills have helped me connect with people from various backgrounds, making me adaptable and patient when working with different personalities and needs. In addition to my holistic health training, I am certified in Wilderness First Aid, First Aid and CPR/AED Level C, and have completed WorldHost Customer Service Training. I also hold a Class 5 driver’s license and own a reliable car, ensuring that I can meet the practical needs of any family I work with. As a live-in nanny, I would bring a calm, nurturing presence to your home, focusing on creating a safe, structured, and enriching environment for your children. I believe in the importance of building trust, promoting healthy habits, and supporting each child’s unique needs. With my background in health and wellness, I can offer a holistic approach to childcare that goes beyond basic care, ensuring that children are not only well-cared for but also encouraged to develop a strong sense of self and well-being. I’m excited about the opportunity to provide thoughtful, loving care to your family, supporting your children’s growth, health, and happiness while maintaining a warm, family-oriented atmosphere.
