I am an English speaker; my ancestors are from England, Germany, Ireland, and Scotland. I have worked with seniors for most of my life, starting in my 20s as a dietary aide, pharmacy tech, and companion. I enjoy cooking, showing people around town, and driving. I have an older dog, a cocker spaniel, which loves to walk and go for drives. I cared for my mom with Dementia from 2009 to 2013 after my dad passed away from cancer. I raised two wonderful children on my own who are now young adults; during that time, I also cared for and cooked for my parents since the early 2000s. When I had a home, I used to do all the gardening. I enjoy shopping and gardening either alone or with others. I play golf occasionally and the saxophone. I also like to sing and listen to music. I looked after small children about 20 years ago for a few years. However, I raised my two kids on my own with the help of my parents from the time they were school-age until their early 20s. I have a high school Ged, almost 2 years of the bachelor of science at Douglas College, I have taken bookkeeping and accounting certificate courses in the past and I took the pharmacy technician course 2004

I am early childhood educator, with my specialization in infants and toddlers. I am particularly passionate about infant care, and supporting new families in their postpartum journey. I'm currently employed full time in a local child care centre, as the supervisor of their infant program. I'm looking for additional work to supplement my time, as well as broaden my experiences in early childhood. I'm particularly interested in returning to previous experiences of working one on one with families and their new babies. I am a fully licensed early childhood educator, with my specialization in infants and toddlers. I am currently employed at a local child care centre as their infant program supervisor, and have been in that position since 2018. Prior to that, I've worked in other licensed child care programs, with children 0-11 years old. I've also worked in private in-home care, providing one-on-one support to infants and postpartum mothers.

My name is Tracy. I was a Registered Nurse for 25 years and since retiring have been working as a nanny for the past ten years and loving every minute. I am a mother of two wonderful daughters who are now age 34 and 31 - one just completed her Masters of Education and living in Madrid, Spain and the other working as a Social Worker in Edmonton. I think that I have a lot to offer a young family as I love spending time with children - outdoors on nature/beach walks, playing at the playground, kicking the soccer ball, swimming at the lake or indoors reading, baking/cooking, doing crafts, watching movies, playing games or helping with homework. As a person who has raised her own children I have a myriad of experiences to draw upon in any of the varying situations that happen in the life of a young family. I hope to meet you soon and we can discuss if I can be a good match for the needs of your family. My name is Tracy. My name is Nya, a high school graduate from Reynolds Secondary. I am 18 years old and seeking a part-time childcare position that can accommodate my current part-time house painting work. With three years of diverse child care experience, ranging from infants to adolescents, I am adept at managing the needs of up to two children simultaneously. At the heart of my child care approach is the belief that every child, regardless of gender, race, religion or specific needs, deserves respect, understanding and an encouraging environment where they can bloom. Art is my passion and I enjoy fostering creativity in children with craft-making sessions. Nature walks and outdoor exploration are other activities that I like to involve children in, promoting an appreciation for the environment and the animals in it. Patience and gentleness with animals are values I hold in high esteem and happily impart to the children under my care. My parents' divorce has also given me a unique understanding of the emotional needs of children going through similar situations. When it comes to duties, I am comfortable with a variety of tasks including cooking, light housekeeping, running errands and grocery shopping, preparing meals for the kids, children's laundry, bathing, and dressing children. I am also able to adhere to special dietary rules and keep the kitchen tidy. Having CPR and First Aid training under my belt, safety of the children is always my priority. As comfortable in the role of a nanny, babysitter, or a mother's helper, I aim to provide excellent care to your children while ensuring a tidy and orderly household. Ready to start immediately, I look forward to the opportunity to provide a safe, engaging and fun environment for your children. Please consider me if you're in search of a dedicated childcare provider who can also handle household tasks competently. I have been childminding for many years now, starting with taking care of my younger brother since he was born. I regularly babysit my neighbors' kids of various ages and do overnights when necessary. My mom did a lot of childcare work when I was little, so her courses and social groups gave me a lot of insight. I have also attended birthday parties to help out, making sure everyone is kept track of and fed. My schedule is currently unpredictable due to house painting, but I can work out times with my employer and find free times during the week. Evenings are for sure available any day.

I have been babysitting since I took the Red Cross Babysitting course at age twelve. I grew up with three siblings so I babysat my little brother and his friends for years. I looked after a four year old boy for two and a half years before moving to Victoria. When taking care of Lake I helped with his developmental set backs by specializing in Child-Led play; as well as outdoor activities and lots of indoor games. I also prepared meals and did light cleaning around the house. During this time I also did part time care for an 18 month old until he was three. Before coming to Lakes family I did part time childcare for a two year old until he was six. I would take Emmett to the park, play with him indoors, put him to bed and stay over night. I have had many other short term nanny jobs through out the years and have experience taking care of groups of five to ten children for the Nelson Waldorf School. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. :) My most recent position was with a four-year-old with autism for two and a half years before moving to Victoria. During that time, I also provided part-time care for an 18-month-old until he was three. I started babysitting a couple of times a week after I took the Red Cross Babysitting course at age twelve, for a two-year-old. I was with his family until he started going to school full-time when he was six. I also provided summer and short-term childcare for children of various ages. I went to a Waldorf School K-8 and to the local high school.

I've worked in a multitude of daycares and preschools. Originally, I wanted to study become a pediatric nurse, but chose to pursue the ECE program at Camosun College. I love art and crafting, being outside in nature, reading, writing, and volunteering. I've worked mostly in the Victoria area and on Salt Spring Island. I've cared for children ages 3-5, and have had some infant and toddler experience. I love children and dogs. If you would like me to do dog walking as well, I'm happy to do so! I'm also available to do light housekeeping work.
