I am a experienced mom of three, with over 15 years of experience as a stay-at-home mother. During this time, I’ve had the opportunity to balance family life with part-time work in senior care and early childhood education. With a strong academic background, holding a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in English Literature and a minor in Developmental Psychology from Tribhuvan University, I have a deep understanding of the importance of fostering independence in both children and adults.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working in various caregiving and educational settings. In my role as a Casual Home Health Support Professional with Private Health, I assisted individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, supporting them toward greater independence. I worked closely with healthcare teams to administer medication, design care plans, and help clients engage in community activities that fostered unity and self-reliance.
As a Volunteer Parent Educator with Louis Riel School Division, I collaborated with early childhood educators to develop personalized learning plans, ensuring each child’s educational needs were met. I also provided one-on-one support to parents, helping them understand how to nurture their children’s cognitive and developmental growth. Additionally, I was responsible for administrative tasks related to learning progress and curriculum adjustments, as well as promoting community events and raising funds for school charities.
Earlier in my career, I worked as a Casual Assisted Living Waitstaff at Manitoba Homestead, where I provided compassionate service to senior residents, ensuring their meals met dietary restrictions and care plans. I also helped create a positive, welcoming environment for residents and their families, working alongside healthcare staff to deliver the best possible care.
Now that my kids are older, I am excited about returning to the workforce in a more regular manner. I am excited to bring my diverse experiences to a new space. I am organized, detail-oriented, and compassionate, with a proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities at once. I am confident that my background in caregiving, along with my personal experience as a mother make me a great fit for positions that require patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills.
Outside of my work experience, I enjoy reading, especially literature that classical horror! I also love knitting and making winter wear for my loved ones
