My name is Mary, and I am a licensed Early Childhood Educator currently living in Vancouver, British Columbia. I was born in the Philippines and moved to Canada with my family six years ago. I live with my parents and younger sister, and family has always been a very important part of my life.
I have a genuine passion for working with children and helping them learn, grow, and develop confidence in themselves. I currently work as an Early Childhood Educator and hold certifications in Early Childhood Education, Infant/Toddler Care, and Special Needs Education. One of the most rewarding parts of my work has been supporting children with diverse abilities through one-on-one care and helping them fully participate in their daily activities and learning experiences. This is an area I am especially passionate about, and I hope to continue my education in the future to further specialize in supporting children with additional needs.
I would describe myself as patient, dependable, nurturing, and easy-going. While I take my responsibilities seriously, I also love having fun with children and bringing energy, creativity, and laughter into their day. Whether it’s building forts, doing arts and crafts, reading stories, exploring outdoors, playing imaginative games, or simply being silly together, I enjoy creating positive and memorable experiences for the children in my care. I believe children learn best when they feel safe, supported, and are genuinely having fun.
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking and trying new recipes, reading, going for walks, exploring new places, and spending time outdoors. I love nature, adventures, and the occasional hike, and I enjoy finding fun and meaningful ways to stay active. I am also creative and enjoy planning activities, crafts, games, and experiences that help children learn through play.
Having worked with children ranging from infancy to teenagers in childcare centres, schools, camps, and community programs, I have developed a strong understanding of children’s different developmental stages and individual needs. I bring warmth, professionalism, and enthusiasm to every family I work with, and I genuinely enjoy being a positive and supportive part of a child’s life.
