I am Melany, an enthusiastic nanny currently living in Richmond, and I am passionate about being a supportive and fun companion to children. With 6 years of experience in child care, including babysitting and home daycare, I'm equally adept at guiding children from newborns to 10+ years old. Whether it's cooking nutritious meals, doing light housekeeping, assisting in children's laundry, or just keeping the home environment tidy, I am more than capable of meeting a wide array of responsibilities. My qualifications extend beyond everyday tasks, with the capacity to organize and plan events, and even supervise other household staff when necessary. However, please note that I do not own a car and would not be able to run errands that require personal transportation. My educational background adds on to my expertise as I have completed First Aid Training, CPR Training, as well as Certified Nanny Training. With a High School degree and College education, I am confident in facilitating a fun and educational environment for your children. I am flexible with my timing and am available from morning to evening most of the time. I prefer a live-out arrangement but am open to live-in options as well. I am comfortable with both full-time and part-time employment, but my maximum capacity is handling two children at a time. My linguistic skills extend to both Spanish and English, which I am fluent in. Please note that my citizenship is Ecuadorian and I am also a non-smoker. I’ve been taking care of children for most of my life, starting with my younger siblings, who are now 11 and 12 years old. In my home country, I worked at a daycare where I helped teachers with daily tasks like feeding, changing diapers, playing with the kids, and handing them back to their parents at the end of the day. In 2022, I moved to the U.S. as an Au Pair and spent two years with a host family, taking care of a baby from 3 months old until he was over 2 years. After that, I worked as a nanny for a 1 year old baby and a 5 year old girl, handling everything from meals and naps to school routines and playtime. I’ve also done occasional babysitting for a girl I’ve known since she was 4, she’s now 7! Most recently, I cared for a 5 month old baby, helping with tummy time, sleep routines, bottle prep, introducing solids, and going on walks and playdates. I have strong experience with infants and young children, and I truly enjoy supporting their growth with care, patience, and fun activities!
