My name is Cydney! I'm a 28 year old living in Steveston B.C with over 7 years of childcare. I grew up with a large family/in a community with many children so I was always helping out where I could. My family is full of childcare workers including teachers and daycare providers. My mother ran a daycare out of our home when I was growing up so I am no stranger to childcare! I consistently nannied for two boys while I was in high school and then I moved to Whistler where I pursued baking while continuing occasional babysitting. I now live full time in Steveston with my grandfather and I currently have a completely open schedule that I'm looking to fill! Other than my interest in childcare, I am very involved in the arts. I have a photography business as well as dabble in film making as well as painting, so I am a big fan of bringing creativity into my time spent with kids! I am very good with moving my schedule around and taking on last minute childcare needs as I know things often come up at the last second. I have been nannying/babysitting since I took the babysitters course when I was 11 years old! I am the eldest in a large family so I grew up around children of all ages. My mother also ran a daycare out of our house when I was younger so I have been helping out ever since. I had a few consistent children I looked after over the years ranging from 1 year- 10 years of age. I currently do before school/occasional weekend childcare for a 2 year old boy but I am looking to take on another little one as another 2 year old boy I was looking after in the evenings for the past year has recently moved away! I am pretty flexible with which days I am able to work (as long as they are afternoon/evenings or weekends) I am willing to cook, clean, do crafts, outings etc with the kiddos!
