My name is Yvonne and I am a mother of 2 adult children. I spent most of my adult life working as a Florist in the areas of floral arrangements/decorations, gift baskets for special occasions, assisting bridal parties with wedding preparations, decorate birthday parties/banquet halls/weddings etc. However, my passion was always to work with the vulnerable population especially in the areas of caregiving and disability. This passion led me to volunteer at the St Catherine Infirmary that allowed me to support the less fortunate and persons with disability. Duties performed at the infirmary included assisting with personal care and activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding and mobility support . In addition, I performed kitchen duties such as meal preparation, cleaning, laundry and general household management, offered emotional, spiritual, and physical comfort and safety to all client to the highest possible standard. I would also like to mention that I spent most of my life as a single mother caring for my children's needs (cooking, cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping and taking care of the general household). When my mom got older she had early onset Dementia which I was her primary caregiver while she lived with me. I helped to feed, clothe, bathe, give medication, take her to her medical appointments among other duties. In the last 6 years I have worked as an Office Attendant at a MRI office interacting with patients, helping them prep for their scans as well as offer them coffee/tea while they waited. My role also included keeping the kitchen, bathroom, office among other common areas, clean and tidy. I also volunteered at my church for over 20 years in the hospitality ministry where I helped to clean and replenish supplies in the bathrooms, sweep the sanctuary and kept tidy the common areas of the church. In addition, I assisted in the kitchen with clean up, meal preparations and serve those who are less fortunate on a weekly basis. I also assisted with mentoring the youth and children who were a part of the summer camp programs and shared with them life skills necessary for their growth and development. With my broad experience in caregiving and personal support, I am confident in my ability to meet your expectations as a capable, effective and dependable contributor to your organization

I am a mother of 2 children. They are both adults now and successful in their careers. I am seeking a job to utilize my skills as a mother as well as my passion to take care of those who are vulnerable and in need of care.
