Mikayla B.
I’m an 18-year-old undergraduate student at Wilfrid Laurier University, currently working toward my teaching degree. I’m based in Richmond Hill and have a real passion for working with children. I’m energetic, charismatic, and deeply committed to creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment for kids to grow and thrive. I love staying active, reading, and finding creative ways to help children learn and express themselves. With years of hands-on experience as a camp counselor, tutor, and caregiver, I bring both enthusiasm and reliability to every childcare role. Being a caregiver isn’t just something I do — it’s something I genuinely love
I have over four years of experience as an overnight camp counselor, working with children as young as four and supporting them through daily routines, group activities, and emotional care in a high-energy environment. I’ve also worked as a tutor at an educational institution, helping young children with their academic development by tailoring lessons to their individual learning styles. In addition, I am a caregiver for my two younger siblings who have disabilities, which has given me extensive hands-on experience with caregiving, adaptability, and supporting children with a range of needs. I hold valid First Aid and CPR certifications and always prioritize creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for every child in my care.
