Sarra N.
My name is Sarra and I come from a diverse family background, as an Italian, Pakistani, and Irish Canadian. I am currently pursuing an Honours Specialization in Health Sciences at the University of Western Ontario. I have a passion for STEM, although I also am very creative and love music and art. I am very active and have been involved in sports my entire life. I have a strong background in gymnastics and cheerleading and competed for the varsity team at my university. However, I also have experience in volleyball, basketball, soccer, and rugby. I love the outdoors and nature—one of my favourite daily activities is taking my dog for walks through trails. I love working with children and hope to become a paediatrician someday! I am a hard worker that enjoys learning new things and gaining new experiences.
I have experience babysitting toddlers and young children for family and friends. I have worked as a camp counselor for the City of Richmond Hill supervising groups of 40 children from ages 5-16. I have also coached gymnastics and cheerleading in group classes and private lessons to children from ages 4 to 17 at Hyperdrive Athletics and Alpha Cheer and Tumbling. I have also worked in classrooms with middle school children and helped facilitate events with the Spelling Bee of Canada for young elementary children.
