Kimberly S.
My name is Kimi and I’m 24 years old. I come from a Filipino background and grew up in Vancouver. Currently, I live in Port Moody with my parents, my younger brother, and our cat—Loki. I’m very close to my family and value quality time. Together, we love to paddle board, watch movies, travel, and explore all kinds of activities. In my free time, I love to spend time with my friends and read books of all different genres. When I’m not working or with my friends, I am a lash tech. I love being a lash tech because it provides me opportunities to connect with people my age. It’s a great way to balance my passion in the childcare field and my youth.
My name is Kimi, and I have over 4 years of experience working with children in a variety of settings—from afterschool care and daycares to summer camps and toddler playroom programs. I’ve also had the privilege of supporting children with special needs and diverse abilities, which is something I’m really passionate about. I’m currently a preschool teacher, where I care for little ones while helping them learn and grow through play and basic academics. I work closely with neurodivergent children and am always eager to learn more, especially in the area of behavioural support. I’ve completed my Early Childhood Education – Special Needs Diploma and am a licensed ECE. This September I’ll be starting full-time studies in the Child and Youth Care degree program Year 3 (social work). I’ve worked with children from toddlers to 12 years old, and I love creating fun, safe, and engaging environments tailored to each child’s needs. Art and play-based learning are my absolute favourite ways to connect with children. I'm available for occasional babysitting on weekends until September 2025, and would love to connect if you think we might be a good fit! References are happily available upon request.
