As an in-home elderly caregiver for almosts 4 years in Canada and a registered staff nurse for more than 16 years of my previous employment. In providing childcare depending on my previous knowledge, skills, and good attitude as a nurse-caregiver. Here are the duties and responsibilities I can offer for in this job: Maintain a Safe and Positive Environment. Bathe and Dress Children. Prepare and Serve Meals to Children according to parent’s preferences and special diet. Manage Children’s Health accordingly. Perform light Housekeeping Tasks. Transport Children to and from Appointments and Activities. Provide childcare basics such as feeding, bathing, and dressing children, as well as managing behavior and teaching skills and manners according to parents preferences. Administer prescribed medications, first aid kits for any emergencies. Assists in doing the schools assignments, projects and any other things for school. Must have patience and compassion, especially when dealing with children who are throwing tantrums or behaving badly. Very organized in planning a child’s entire day and coming up with schedules and activities to encourage social and behavioral growth.
