I was born and raised in Port Coquitlam and graduated from Terry Fox Secondary School in June 2025. I am currently attending the University of Alberta in Edmonton, where I am majoring in Linguistics with a minor in Psychology. My long-term goal is to complete a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology so I can work with children with speech and language difficulties. I have always known that I wanted to work with children, and I especially value building strong one-on-one connections and supporting children in ways that help them feel comfortable, confident, and understood. I am back home for the summer until mid-to-late August and am currently looking for full-time or part-time childcare work. Outside of school and work, I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, running, biking, and going for walks. I also love playing volleyball, and I participate in a dodgeball league at university. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, baking, reading, and painting. I am organized, dependable, patient, and have a strong work ethic. Families often describe me as caring, responsible, and easy to communicate with, and I always strive to create a safe, positive, and engaging environment for children.

I have over six years of childcare experience through regular babysitting, after-school care, event childcare, as a mother's helper, and volunteering at children’s camps. I have cared for children of varying ages and have built strong relationships with both children and parents based on trust, communication, and reliability. My responsibilities have included preparing meals and snacks, assisting with homework, reading stories, singing songs, organizing games and activities, and maintaining clean and safe play environments by sanitizing toys and supervising children closely at all times. I have provided after-school care by picking children up from school, walking them home safely, and supporting them until their caregivers returned. In addition, I have experience with event babysitting, particularly through Coquitlam Alliance Church, where I helped supervise groups of up to 50 children alongside other caregivers. I have also volunteered for several years at children’s camps, leading groups of children aged 3–11 throughout full camp days. In this role, I followed safety protocols, assisted with crafts, lessons, games, and discussions, and contributed to daily setup, cleanup, and activity transitions. As a mother’s helper for a family with a newborn baby, my responsibilities included feeding, diaper changes, tummy time, soothing, and supervising the baby, as well as helping with household tasks such as sweeping, washing dishes, doing laundry, and general tidying to support the family’s daily routine.

I graduated from Terry Fox Secondary School in June 2025 and am now studying at the University of Alberta. I have completed my first year.
