My name is Maggie and I’m 19 years old. I’m originally from Port Coquitlam on the Lower Mainland, but I currently live on Vancouver Island while studying and playing varsity soccer at Vancouver Island University. Soccer has been a huge part of my life and has taught me the value of teamwork, commitment, and patience. Back home, I’ve always been a hard worker—holding down two jobs, including serving at a busy breakfast restaurant for the past five years. Alongside that, I rotated through a few different part-time roles, but one constant has always been my love for working with children. Babysitting has been a fun and fulfilling side passion for me whenever I had the chance. Both of my parents are teachers, so I grew up hearing stories from the classroom around the dinner table. I loved tagging along to help my mom teach whenever I could (even skipping school occasionally to do so!). That early exposure really shaped my understanding of children and their needs. I’m currently pursuing a degree in Business, with plans to major in Accounting, and I always put a lot of care and effort into everything I do—whether it’s academics, athletics, or childcare. I would be thrilled to support your family and be a positive, fun, and reliable role model in your child’s life!

I first discovered my love for childcare by helping my aunt raise her two kids—I was over at her house constantly, helping with cooking, cleaning, and even implementing behavior strategies (inspired by Supernanny haha!). With both of my parents being teachers, I practically grew up in a classroom, often volunteering to help my mom whenever I could. I also completed a two-week co-op placement at an elementary school, where I had the opportunity to rotate through different classrooms and work with a variety of age groups. Since then, I’ve gained hands-on experience babysitting for several families with children ranging from ages 2 to 10. I'm confident in creating a safe, fun, and structured environment for children, and I genuinely enjoy being part of their growth and development.
