Adriana P.
I’m Adriana. Caring for children has always come naturally to me, it's more than just a job, it’s something I truly enjoy and take to heart. With over 15 years of experience working with children of all ages, from infants and toddlers to preschoolers and older.. I bring a deep understanding of each stage of childhood development. I’m bilingual in English and Spanish, and safety is always my top priority. I hold CPR and First Aid certifications from the Red Cross and have a valid driver’s license, allowing me to provide reliable transportation for outings, appointments, and errands. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in both daycare centers and private homes, adapting to each child’s unique needs and family routines. I’m skilled in managing daily schedules, preparing nutritious meals, assisting with homework, and creating age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and growth. As a mother myself, I understand the importance of patience, empathy, and open communication. I strive to build trusting and loving relationships with the children I care for and their families. My approach balances structure with creativity, promoting a healthy lifestyle through outdoor play, mindfulness exercises, and educational games. In addition to my hands-on experience, I hold a Child Care Provider Certification from Humber College in Toronto and completed a Teaching English as a Second Language program at IC Idiomas, Catholic University. This education enhances my ability to support bilingual children or those learning English. I am committed to providing a nurturing, safe environment where children feel valued and encouraged to grow with confidence. If you’re interested in learning more about my experience, I would be happy to provide further details. I can also offer a background check and references upon request.
I truly care about helping children feel safe, happy, and supported as they grow. I’ve worked with kids of all ages, creating environments where they can learn, play, and feel comfortable being themselves. Most recently, I worked full-time as a nanny for the Tiwana family in Toronto, caring for twins by managing daily routines, meals, school pickups, and extracurricular activities. I helped with homework, created fun learning activities, spent time outdoors, and traveled with the family, while maintaining open communication with the parents. I have also provided part-time morning care for a toddler, focusing on gentle routines, creative play, and sensory exploration, building a strong, trusting relationship with both the child and parents. I taught English to children aged 3 to 12 at Beginners School in Peru, using stories, songs, games, and crafts to create engaging lessons that met various learning styles and helped children build confidence and communication skills. I have also offered flexible babysitting services for various families in Toronto, supporting routines, small group activities, birthday parties, and local outings, always prioritizing safety and enjoyment.
I have taught English in Peru and have worked in daycares in Toronto.
