Jordyn M.
I’m someone who has always loved working with kids—it’s truly where I feel most at home. I grew up playing hockey for 13 years, and that experience shaped so much of who I am today. It taught me leadership, teamwork, patience, and how powerful it is to help others learn and grow through encouragement and fun. All of my jobs have centered around working with kids in some way, from being a nanny and camp counsellor to a camp supervisor and lead multi-sport coach. Through all these experiences, I’ve had the chance to support children of all ages and personalities, from infants discovering the world for the first time to pre-teens learning teamwork and confidence through sport and play. I love creating a nurturing, energetic environment where kids feel safe to be themselves while learning and having fun. Whether I’m planning crafts, organizing games, or just spending time reading or talking with them, my goal is always to make them feel valued, supported, and happy. I’m a big believer that kids learn best when they’re having fun and feel understood, and I try to bring that balance of structure and play into everything I do. Teaching and caring for children isn’t just a job for me—it’s something I’m genuinely passionate about and hope to continue building my career around. My ultimate goal is to become a teacher or work in a role that allows me to keep making a positive difference in kids’ lives every day. Families I’ve worked with describe me as kind, dependable, and full of positive energy. I take that as the best compliment because I truly put my heart into what I do. Being part of a child’s growth—whether it’s helping them learn a new skill or watching their confidence bloom—is the most rewarding feeling, and it’s what drives me in every role I take on.
I’ve spent several years caring for kids of all ages, from tiny infants to energetic pre-teens. I love creating a fun, safe, and nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and feel confident. Whether we’re doing crafts, playing outside, or exploring new activities, I make sure each day is engaging and positive. My background as a camp supervisor and multi-sport coach means I bring lots of energy, patience, and adaptability to every situation. I truly enjoy building trusting relationships with families and making sure every child feels happy, supported, and cared for.
