My name is Miss. Taija and I have been working with children for almost all of my career life! I’m the eldest of 5 siblings as well as the eldest cousin, so I just gravitated to child-care! I’ve spent time as a camp counsellor, a child-care director, a teacher as well as a teachers assistant, and a cake decorator (the last one is just a fun bonus). I enjoy doing activities and being hands on with all the kids I care for. I’ve taken kids to the cottage multiple times without their parents (we had a BLAST!) and have painted many a face. I enjoy playing Lego, arts and crafts, reading, writing, dressing up for Halloween and baking! All of my interests I can incorporate into my job, and that’s why I love being a nanny!

I have over 15 years of child-care experience as both a live-in and live-out nanny. I have also spent time as a grade 3/4 Teacher at a private school, and as a Personal Support Worker for adults with special considerations. Additionally, I was the Director of a child-care program, and have 6 years of volunteer service with children aged newborn to 10 years of age. Bonus: I am an expert face painter and have made some great cakes for kids birthday parties!
