Lucinda E.
My name is Lucinda and I have just graduated from Carleton University with a degree in Psychology. I am passionate about helping children and adolescents achieve academic success in school, as well as ensuring they have a caring and safe space to have fun! I believe that staying active and healthy is important at any age, and so I am always trying to find new healthy recipes or getting outside for a walk in the sun! I also love to play games and watch movies!
My teaching experience includes being a teaching assistant for a second year American Sign Language class at Carleton, and also providing private dance lessons to a seven-year-old girl. My caregiving experience includes being a babysitter to three children for a number of years, where I provided homework assistance, light meal preparation, outside activities, and putting the children to bed. I also worked at CHEO for two years as part of the COVID-19 response team, where I gained much experience working with children and families experiencing a difficult time. I am currently living with an elderly lady with dementia, who requires assistance in the evening but not during the day. I am responsible for reporting any health concerns to her daughter, as well as light cleaning and assistantance with technology.
