My name is Kerrie. I come from a small, close-knit family with three kids. Growing up, I often took care of my younger brother, who’s ten years younger than me, especially when my parents were busy. This experience nurtured my love for working with children. Although it’s been a while since my babysitting days, I’ve always been passionate about caring for kids, which is why I’m currently pursuing a career in pediatrics. I’m Kerrie, a 22-year-old student with a strong passion for child development and pediatric care. While I’m currently studying Health Sciences at university, I’ve had meaningful experience working with children through babysitting when I was younger and teaching basketball to elementary school kids during high school. I also volunteered as a martial arts assistant instructor for about 5 years, where I worked with kids of various ages to help them build confidence, discipline, and physical coordination — all in a safe and encouraging environment. I come from a warm, close-knit family and have always been the “go-to” person when it came to caring for younger siblings and cousins. These experiences have helped shape my nurturing, responsible, and energetic personality. I’m currently available for part-time childcare support, including evenings and weekends. I’m open to roles such as babysitter, tutor, or mother’s helper and can assist with homework, light housework, meal prep, and creating engaging activities.
