Ally W.
My name is Ally, and I am currently completing my third year of nursing at the University of Ottawa. I am passionate about working with children and aspire to become a critical care nurse specializing in pediatrics. Alongside my studies, I am a dedicated member of UOttawa’s varsity rowing team, reflecting my lifelong love for athletics and commitment to discipline and teamwork. Outside of academics and sports, I enjoy expressing my creativity through crafts like watercolor painting and crocheting. I also love spending time in the kitchen baking delicious treats or unwinding with a good book. As a hardworking, compassionate, and reliable individual, I am seeking a part-time position that I can continue throughout the summer. I am eager to bring my strong communication skills, adaptability, and dedication to providing excellent care to a meaningful role where I can make a positive impact.
As a third year nursing student I have done work at the children's hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) as a part of my schooling. At CHEO I did a lot of care for children (bathing, dressing, feeding etc.) as well as medical care. I have taught children's swim lessons as well for a total of 3 years. I have also taught swim lessons to children with disabilites. Lots of experience caring for younger relatives as well. I also am certified in first aid/CPR - C and basic life saving (BLS)
