Jasmine B.
My Name is Jasmine, I often go by Jas. I am a third year university student and throughout my life, I have always had a deep love for children and an inherent desire to help them grow, learn, and feel safe and happy. I have had the privilege of working with children in various settings, from babysitting young ones to helping with after-school care, and truthfully I miss being surrounded by young, naive and yet endlessly creative minds. I understand the importance of providing not only a caring environment but also a structured and stimulating one, where children can thrive and develop in their own unique ways. One of the most rewarding aspects of being a nanny is the ability to create meaningful connections with children, help foster their curiosity, and support their emotional and physical well-being. Whether it’s through reading together, playing games, or engaging in creative activities, I love encouraging children's natural sense of wonder while helping them feel secure and loved. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how I can best support your family’s needs.
I started off babysitting my younger siblings and cousins at age 10, including newborns. During the age of 12-13, I was responsible for the scheduling and safety of 4 kids (myself not included) on a daily basis when some family moved in with me for a year and since all the adults had to be at work by 6 am and back by 8, I had to prep lunches, be homework monitor, keep track of after school programs and project due dates etc... . By 14 I was babysitting kids in the neighbourhood until I got a retail job at 16 which just felt like adult-sitting.
