My name is Fadwa, a vibrant, final semester student hailing from the beautiful city of Ottawa, Canada, with a rich multi-cultural background rooted in North Africa. With a fun, dynamic personality served by a wide array of interests, from films to sports, I find joy and fulfillment in working with children. I'm not only blessed with strong and versatile communication skills but also the ability to speak fluent English and Arabic, basic French, along with American Sign Language (ASL). I strongly believe that children require a nurturing environment for their overall development, and I'm capable of providing just that. My services could range from babysitting, being a nanny, a nanny/housekeeper, a nanny/tutor to being a mother's helper. Please note that I prefer a live-out arrangement. And given that I can start immediately, I look forward to creating a warm, fun, safe, and nurturing environment for your precious ones. Please feel free to reach out so we can discuss further how I can assist your family. My education, passion, skills, and experience make me a suitable candidate for this role and I hope to hear from you soon!

From a young age, I found myself surrounded by the delightful chaos that comes with caring for children. My mother, a dedicated provider with Andrew Fleck Childcare Services for over a decade, has always been my inspiration. Growing up in her bustling childcare environment, I learned the ropes of nurturing and engaging young minds while having a blast! As I spent my afternoons helping my mom with her five little charges, I quickly became the unofficial assistant in our home. Imagine a whirlwind of laughter and energy as we played games, crafted colorful masterpieces, and shared stories during snack time! My main responsibilities included supervising playtime, preparing meals, and ensuring everyone was safe and happy. With five children to care for, every day was an adventure filled with giggles and the occasional minor mishap—like when we accidentally turned the living room into a fort made of cushions! Through this experience, I developed a keen understanding of each child's unique personality and needs. Whether it was calming a toddler's tears or encouraging a shy child to join in on the fun, I learned how to be patient, empathetic, and creative in my approach to childcare. In addition to my family duties, I took on the role of babysitter for my neighbors’ children on both sides of our home. This was another chapter in my childcare journey that brought its own set of delightful challenges. I would often find myself juggling two or three little ones at a time—like a circus performer balancing on a tightrope! Our days together were filled with laughter as we played games, created art projects, and embarked on mini-adventures around the neighborhood. I loved preparing meals together; turning simple snacks into fun shapes and colors was always a hit! These experiences not only strengthened my ability to multitask but also taught me how to foster creativity and imagination in children. To further expand my skills and give back to my community, I volunteered at Avalon Public School. My role involved helping during lunch duty and assisting in kindergarten classes. Picture me amidst a sea of tiny chairs and bright artwork, guiding little ones through their lunchtime routines and supporting teachers with engaging activities. This experience was incredibly rewarding as it allowed me to connect with even more children while honing my organizational skills. Whether it was helping kids navigate their lunch trays or leading them in fun educational games, every moment reinforced my passion for working with children. Through these playful experiences—whether it was helping my mother at her childcare service, babysitting for neighbors, or volunteering at school—I have developed a strong foundation in childcare. Each child has taught me something new about patience, creativity, and the joy of learning. As I continue on this journey, I look forward to creating even more magical moments filled with laughter and love! I currently hold a Babysitting Certificate and First Aid, and doing my CPR certification soon!
