Eden Joy L.
As the second eldest daughter in a notably large family, I entered the world of work earlier than most. From a young age, my responsibilities included taking care of my younger siblings, an experience that nurtured an inherent sense of responsibility and an ability to handle children within me. This laid the groundwork for my future career. I chose to work in a hospital for a while, then got married and had my own child. I worked for a family in Hong Kong for over six years and spent four years in Montreal, where both jobs included extensive housekeeping and childcare. During this period, my primary focus areas were the pediatric ward and delivery room, two of the most demanding yet rewarding sections of a hospital. These experiences reinforced my love and care for children. I encountered situations where I had to handle babies and children of all ages and with varying health conditions, hailing from diverse backgrounds. This not only honed my caregiving skills, but also taught me the ability to quickly adapt to different situations, an indispensable trait for a nanny. Augmenting my hands-on experience, I am also a mother with a child of my own. This has deepened my firsthand understanding of the myriad responsibilities and the constant care and attention that children demand. It has further sharpened my insight into the role of a nanny, making me realize how vital a part they can play in a child's life. However, it's not just about my experience or understanding; a natural inclination towards children also drives my desire to work with them. I am passionate about their growth, joy, and well-being. I believe this is the most significant factor when it comes to caregiving - a genuine love for children, which parents greatly appreciate. This aspect of my personality goes beyond mere duty or obligation; it provides a deep sense of satisfaction and fulfillment.
