I love art, theatre, music, baking, holidays, animals, nature, camping, and cottage life. I have experience with all ages. I like to think I am young at heart, and that I do my best to connect with a child through their interests and hobbies. I am empathetic and believe that I would make a great caregiver for those who desire a nurturing type of nanny in their home. From cookie baking and storytelling to outdoor play and artistic expression - if we can dream it, we can try it! :)

As a mother of two teen girls, I have definitely had my experience first hand. I have always enjoyed child care, at a young age I took care of my siblings and babysat up into my teen years, I did lots of volunteer work, whether it be figure skating, tutoring, Girl Guides of Canada, teaching children and teen cooking classes through Loblaws. I've always enjoyed seeing the world through a child's eyes, watching them grow and have new experiences. I promise to take care of your little one as if they were my own. I believe in a play based care, with lots of outdoor time, nature, creating through art, reading and song. With a background in the culinary arts, I still enjoy baking, healthy vegetarian cooking, and camping with my teenage daughters. I work part-time at Elmwood School during the school year, where I work in the after care program 12 pm to 6 pm, Monday to Friday. I am seeking summer employment, full or part time. Last yeat I was with a family part time when the baby was 1 month old to a year old, he is now in daycare. It's very fulfilling helping nuture a newborn and helping out a new mother, being those extra set of hands, assisting where needed on the daily basis depending on how the day goes. It is a special and unique relationship and one I really enjoyed. As for overnights it's subject for discussion, depending on the Family's needs. If you would like a copy of my driver's license, criminal reference check, First Aid, I would be happy to share that with you I just don't feel comfortable putting that online. *Because I work in a school, I have my summers off, so I will be available for a more full-time basis from mid June to the start of September.
