Lizzie C.
My name is Liz, born and raised on Vancouver Island I grew up on a farm with my two older brothers commuting in between Victoria and the Cowichan Valley for school and addended two prestigious schools for my primary education until moving to boarding school in Mill Bay, BC for my last three years of high school. Growing up I had a great appreciation for the environment and nature, spending most of my time outdoors, learning about animals, farming and agriculture. I spent my weekends biking and hiking, riding horses and camping with my friends and family, as well as skiing and snowboarding during the winters. When I was in the later part of high school I decided to solidify my passion for caring for others after spending years volunteering for care homes, hospitals and hospices, by applying to nursing programs around Canada. In 2022, I graduated from Brentwood College School with a 95% average and headed on my way to Ottawa to study Nursing! I am now entering my third year of Nursing here in Ottawa and have finished a full clinical rotation in specialized and complex care at St. Vincent Hospital. I am a hard worker, eager, empathetic and would love to help out and join your team!
My first job as a young teen was babysitting, soon after followed by camp counselling overnight, and was part of the reason I decided to go into my Bachelors of Nursing here at the University of Ottawa! I love taking care of people and helping out wherever I can, with experience caring for patients from ages 0-100, as well as certification in child care, first aid and CPR, non-violent crisis intervention and education in nursing/health care.
