My name is Ava, and I am based in Ottawa. I have many years of experience working with kids as both a coach in multiple sports and as a babysitter/nanny. I am currently pursuing my bachelor's degree in Journalism, currently completing my fourth year, intent to graduate within the next year. I have extensive training in multiple different programs and courses for child care, safety, lifesaving and coaching. I am extremely hard-working, creative, and a great communicator and love to see kids have fun and learn new things. I am happy to cook, clean, or help out wherever else is necessary. I have my own means of transport and am able to pick kids up from school, take them to sports or on outings if wanted. A little about me: I am from B.C., grew up in North Vancouver and Whistler. I grew up as a ski racer and have a deep love for the outdoors. I spend a lot of time on school and work, but in my free time enjoy art projects, hiking, sailing, skiing, writing and so much more.

I have a variety of experience and qualifications in childcare. I have worked as a babysitter for 7+ years, from infants to pre-teen and have worked/managed at summer camps. I also have experience coaching multiple sports (safety in sport certified), where I have taught and cared for kids ages 3-15. I have experience working with large numbers of young kids in high and low-risk environments and managing staff to ensure the safety of everyone involved. I am CPR, AED, Bronze Cross, and First Aid certified. (I have my babysitter's licence as well).
