My name is Dovanna and I was born in Hamilton, ON, but grew up in a small city, Brantford, for most of my life. I grew up in a large, close-knit family and was the oldest child of six. I have always been responsible for the care of my younger siblings, and now I am the proud mother of 3 children, ages 16, 14, and 12. I have taken CPR and First Aid classes on multiple occasions, but am not certified currently. However, if required, I can be re-certified immediately. I have an extensive educational background, which includes Community Services and Child Studies Foundations, Social Service Worker, Social Work, Child and Youth Studies, Children's Mental Health, Victimology, and Conflict Resolution and Mediation. I received the honour of highest ranking graduate in 3 of my programs, while ranking second in two others. My interests include lifelong learning and I love making crafts, including upcycling. I am dedicated, extremely reliable, confident, accountable, punctual, detail oriented, and client oriented. I can communicate effectively and efficiently in English. I am the mother of 3 children and growing up, I was the oldest of 6 children in my family. I have many years of child care experience to offer. I have experience with the vulnerable sector, as I am a social worker. I am also certified in children's mental health and victimology. I do not have my current certifications for CPR and First Aid, but I have taken the courses 4 or 5 times in the past. If required, I can be certified again within the next few days.
