Asha R.
My name is Asha, and I’m a dedicated nanny based in Orangeville, with the flexibility to travel to nearby towns. I have years of hands-on childcare experience that began early in my life and has grown into a genuine long-term commitment to working with children. Caring for my two younger brothers, as well as nieces, nephews, and children from multiple families, has given me strong experience with children of all ages and helped shape my patient, responsible, and adaptable approach to caregiving. Growing up in a busy household taught me how to manage different personalities, routines, and developmental stages with confidence. I understand the importance of structure, consistency, and safety, while still creating a warm and enjoyable environment where children feel comfortable, supported, and encouraged to be themselves. I am kind, attentive, and flexible, and I take pride in being reliable and proactive. I learn quickly, take initiative, and adjust easily to each family’s needs. I’m happy to support with homework, meal prep, light household tasks, and daily routines to help keep things running smoothly. My goal is always to be a positive and dependable presence in both the child’s life and the household as a whole. In my free time, I enjoy reading, journaling, baking, and trying new activities, and I love bringing that creativity into my work. I plan engaging activities that support learning, development, and fun, making sure children are not only cared for, but actively growing and enjoying their time. I’m currently seeking a full-time nanny position and would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my experience could support your family’s needs.
I’ve been babysitting since I was about 11, starting with close friends and family, and over the years I’ve cared for children from several different families, including kids I didn’t know personally. Most of my experience has involved supervising daily routines, helping with homework, preparing meals, and doing light tidying around the house. At one point, I cared for up to eight children at a time with the help of another person. These experiences taught me patience, organization, and how to make sure every child feels safe, supported, and engaged. Since growing up surrounded by bigs family’s to help care for it’s taught me how to work under pressure and problem solve fast. I especially enjoy incorporating creative and educational activities, like arts and crafts or reading, to keep playtime fun while encouraging learning. Babysitting/nannying has always come naturally to me, and over the years I’ve learned to adapt to each family’s routines and personalities. I’m reliable, patient, and creative, and I love helping children have fun while feeling safe and cared for.
