My name is Ellie! I am 20 years old and I am from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I grew up with 2 amazing parents and 6 younger siblings. I was raised in a Christian home, was homeschooled by my mom and lived for 3.5 years in Costa Rica helping my dad run his businesses there. I have a very entrepreneurial, faith based family / background which has certainly helped shaped my values and work ethic. I am currently living and working in Kelowna, BC with my great-grandma who has dementia and is needing live in care. I am taking care of her here until January, 2026, which is when I will be returning to Alberta and looking for work. I love nannying as I see great value in investing time and care into kids as they grow up; it is a job that comes very naturally to me and one that brings me joy. I have grown up in a large family, constantly surrounded by siblings and cousins. This has definitely cultivated in me a love for people of all ages, and also experience in various levels of childcare. I would desire to have a friendship and bond with the children that I work with, and I would seek to be a help in whatever way I can. I enjoy cooking, baking, cleaning, and have a love for keeping things organized!

In regards to my qualification, I have helped in caring for / raising my own siblings since I was 10 years old. This has involved lots of babysitting, lots of all nighters taking care of newborns, and lots of hours playing games or helping with studies. I regularly babysat for other families and often worked in kids ministries at church gatherings, where I have cared for over 20 middle school aged kids at one time. I am not afraid of this sort of responsibility as I am quite familiar with it. I hope that you parents would recognize me as a gentle caretaker and a good role model in the way that I speak, act and present myself. I have seen the impact that an older figure can have on young ones and I would seek to be the best influence that I can!
