I had the pleasure of working with her during our time at the YMCA summer camp in Mississauga where she consistently demonstrated passion, enthusiasm, responsibility and a natural ability to connect with children. Over the summer, I worked closely with Daniella and saw her strong ability to follow instructions but also adapt her helping and teaching styles towards kids of different backgrounds and needs. She played a key role in leading games and activities, managing break times, and most importantly, fostering a safe environment for all. In the beginning stages, we were short staffed and Daniella took the initiative to step up. She was very reliable in assisting with setup and cleanup of activity stations and monitoring kids who needed extra help. What stood out most about Daniella is her creativity, problem solving, and connectedness with all children. She was an integral part of the camp staff and made kids feel more comfortable and included within the YMCA space. Daniella can adapt to new situations quickly, has a genuine care to support kids, and really connects with the workers around her.
