I am Yashmeen a passionate student nearing completion of my Bachelor's degree in Social Service Worker from Loyalist College at Belleville, Ontario, in April 2024. My experience spans over four years in various childcare roles, such as a Child and Youth Therapist, Child Support Worker, and Babysitter. I have had the privilege of caring for children from diverse age groups, ranging from 1 to over 10 years, and I am comfortable working with children with disabilities and also managing three children at a time. During my stint as a therapist at Bayfield Treatment Centre and as a support worker at a welfare organization in Punjab, India, I honed skills in direct care, guidance, support, safety enforcement, needs assessment, case management, as well as developing, implementing, and monitoring effective care plans. As a Babysitter both in Punjab and Oakville, Ontario, my focus was on creating a nurturing, stimulating environment for the children, actively engaging them in educational and recreational activities to foster cognitive and social development, while also maintaining consistent communication with parents. Whilst my primary focus is child care and youth support, I am also proficient in cooking, housekeeping and have experience working as a part-time cleaner that honed my attention to detail and maintaining cleanliness standards. In addition to these, I also possess excellent interpersonal communication and team collaboration skills and am capable of adeptly handling crises. I am also sensitive to cultural differences, which I consider an integral part of child care and family interaction. As for the kind of job I prefer, I am amenable to various roles such as Nanny/Housekeeper, Nanny/Tutor, Babysitter, Nanny, Mother's Helper, and Special Needs Care Provider. I am also comfortable with both Live-In and Live-Out arrangements. Apart from child care, I am willing to perform a variety of domestic duties including but not limited to cooking, light housekeeping, children's laundry, homework assistance, pet care, supervising other house staff, event organization, and entire house cleaning. I am also a certified in First Aid, Special Needs Education, and Infant/Toddler Education, and I am adept at adhering to special dietary regulations. At present, I am available for full-time employment, and I can start immediately. My schedule is flexible, and I am available throughout the week, including mornings, mid-day, evenings, and nights.
