Andrea F.
Hello! My name is Andrea. I have experience as a nanny in Mexico, US and Canada for the last 10+ years. I was a doctor in Mexico and I am also an IBCLC. About my formation as a child caregiver I've completed over 420 hours of childcare courses and children development. I've been volunteer in foster homes for infants, hospices taking care of children with autoimmune diseases. I enjoy outdoor activities, I have strong swimming skills and also enjoy to cook and learning languages (I speak Spanish, English and French)
I have 10+ years of experience in child care since to pay for my studies I work part time as a temporary as well as overnight babysitter and nanny. I started taking care of my neighbors whose parents were elementary school teachers, they recommended me with the school parents. That's how I got several odd jobs. Later during my university studies I worked part time and in the vacations I was a full-time nanny. After finishing college I was an Au pair in the United States. I have experience taking care children from newborns to teenagers. I have CPR AED and First aid certificate but also have training in basic, advanced and pediatric life support from the AHA. I have experience in BLW and BLISS also with Montessori and Waldorf philosophy (being the last one my favourite one since I believe it's great children being autonomous preserving the wonder and magic of childhood) I am calm but funny, energetic and positive, very committed with raising with respect and understand and following the natural and physiological process of growing of children, I care about being an important figure of attachment and the responsibility that represents for their development.
