My name is Kitty, I have completed my undergrad from Simon Fraser University (Vancouver) in Visual Arts and currently competing my masters in Art Education at Concordia University. With hopes to work as an Art Teacher, either in schools or though community based art. I am more than happy to bring art supplies and facilitate an art education based care for your children. Such as a mobile art educator :) While in a childcare position, I bring my passions and personality into the care. Going on outdoor adventures, playing games, creating everything, being compassionate and caring, using our imaginations and most importantly trying to learn so much about the world around us. I love the opportunity to get messy, loud and energetic with children… and we clean up afterward, knowing that we had a good, full day. I am currently pursuing a Masters of Art Education from Concordia University, making me qualified to give your children a well rounded and art based care on top of nanny services. I am open to advancing the conversation if you would be interested in art based classes or tutoring. My first experience with childcare stems as early as 12 or 13 when I would babysit the neighbour hood children and then eventually leading to working at a small scale resort where I would do simple housekeeping duties and looking after the owners 4 children. I was at this position for my whole middle school and high school career. More recently, I have worked with children in mainly a Summer Camp or Camp setting - art camps, skateboard camps, ect - where I would be the main caregiver and leader for a group of up to 15 children and youth. The camps would range from relaxing art camps to wild skateboard and skim boarding camps where we would venture to a different park everyday. During these I would make sure every kids needs were cared for and they would received snack and lunch. In addition to that, I would occasionally watch friends and neighbors children on the side.
