Barbara Mishelle G.
I am a responsible, caring, and creative person with a background in Architecture and a genuine passion for working with children. Growing up in a close-knit family environment taught me early on the value of patience, empathy, clear communication, and creating a supportive space for little ones. I love spending time with kids and coming up with creative, screen-free activities that spark their imagination whether it's painting, drawing, reading stories, or doing crafts. Having practiced ballet and gymnastics, I also naturally bring movement, outdoor play, and active fun into my care routines to help children stay active, curious, and confident. My architecture background gives me strong organizational habits, attention to detail, and quick problem-solving skills, while my interest in community and social projects has deepened my empathy and dedication to others. As a caregiver, I am patient, trustworthy, attentive, and warm. I love taking the time to understand each child’s unique personality and building activities around what they love. For me, caring for children is so much more than supervision—it is about making sure they feel safe, heard, encouraged, and truly happy every day.
I have years of hands-on experience caring for babies, toddlers, and young children within my family. Growing up actively involved in their care has taught me how to read their needs, adapt to their unique personalities, and keep their daily routines running smoothly and calmly. Creative & Screen-Free Play I have a background in Architecture and am currently studying Interior Design here in Montreal. I love bringing that creative, organized mindset into how I care for kids. My main goal is always to keep them engaged without relying on screens: Painting, drawing, and fun DIY crafts. Reading books together and making up stories. Interactive games that encourage curiosity and problem-solving. Movement & Active Fun Having practiced ballet and gymnastics, I love staying active with kids. Whether it's dancing to music in the living room, simple coordination games, or playing at the park, I enjoy helping children burn off energy in a fun, safe, and positive way. A Thoughtful Approach to Childcare My passion for children’s well-being runs deep—my architecture thesis was actually focused on designing safe, comforting spaces for kids. That project, along with my community work, reinforced how essential it is for children to feel safe, valued, and truly listened to. For me, babysitting isn't just about watching the clock; it’s about stepping into their world, having genuine fun together, and giving parents total peace of mind knowing their little ones are in loving, capable hands.
