Eva A.
My name is Eva, and I am a 23-year-old caregiver based in Montreal. I recently graduated from Concordia University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Theatre. I grew up in Kelowna, BC, and I am very close with my family, including my two sisters, who also live in Montreal. I am fluently bilingual in both French and English, and graduated from high school with a bilingual (Double-Dogwood) diploma. I am a creative, patient, and dependable person with a strong interest in child development, emotional well-being, and play-based learning. In addition to my academic background, I am an Americana, folk, and country singer-songwriter who regularly performs in Montreal, and I have been playing guitar and singing since I was 14 (thank you dad for teaching me!) Music, storytelling, and creative play are a big part of who I am, and I love sharing that creativity with children in age-appropriate ways. I am known for being warm, empathetic, and responsible, and I value creating a safe, supportive environment where children feel confident, included, and encouraged to explore their interests. My hobbies are learning about history, fashion, and design. I love to collect vintage clothing and artifacts and listen to music from the 1960s and 70s. I also really enjoy cooking, keeping spaces organized, and involving children in daily routines to help build independence and confidence. I look forward to meeting you!
French Tutoring (Kelowna, BC): one child, mainly focused on reading, speaking, play, and music in French. Volunteer support worker for the BC Prader-Willi Syndrome Association Conference (Delta, BC): 2 children, provided personalized care and support. Ensured safety, supervised activities, and managed behaviour. Facilitated social activities and encouraged inclusivity. My approach to childcare focuses on fostering confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning in a structured, supportive environment. I believe in being empathetic and open with children while maintaining clear boundaries and consistency. With a background in Psychology, Music, and Theatre, I value modeling positive behaviour, encouraging play-based learning, and meeting children where they are developmentally. I love incorporating creativity into daily routines through dress-up, imaginative play, dance parties, at-home concerts, and theatre shows. I encourage age-appropriate independence while providing emotional support through challenges and learning experiences. I also enjoy cooking and cleaning, and I love involving children in everyday tasks so they feel capable and included. Every child is unique, and I aim to create a nurturing, engaging environment where they feel confident, supported, and valued.
