Beatrix B.
I am a first-year student at Concordia University, currently 19 and turning 20 soon. I was born in London to an English mother and a Canadian father, and I have grown up in France since the age of four. Growing up in different countries has made me open-minded, adaptable, and very comfortable around people from different backgrounds. I have been around children for as long as I can remember. I have regularly babysat for families close to mine and for my younger sisters, and I have also worked as a camp counselor for several years. During school holidays, I was responsible for groups of children, organizing activities, taking care of them, and making sure they felt safe, supported, and happy. I genuinely love working with young children and hope to build a future career with them. I am patient, caring, and reliable, and I always try to create a warm and positive environment. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and value kindness, trust, and good communication qualities I also bring into my work with children.
I have experience working with children in different settings. I have babysat for my parents’ friends as well as for my younger sisters, which helped me develop a strong sense of responsibility and patience. I have also worked as a youth leader, where I was in charge of a group of children and took care of them during school holidays. This experience taught me how to organize activities, ensure children’s safety, and create a positive and supportive environment.
