Mick C.
I'm Mick, a dedicated and seasoned childcare professional located in Montreal. With two years worth of hands-on experience in childcare, I am deeply invested in fostering a nurturing environment for children. My academic background in child psychology, child development, and education at Concordia University is a testament to my commitment. My passion for working with children is fuelled by my hobbies which include crafting, playing sports, and video gaming. These activities not just fuel my interest but also form an ideal medium to engage with children, stimulate their creativity, and facilitate a fun learning environment. Furthermore, I find joy in tutoring high school math and would be more than happy to assist your child with assignments and test prep. My availability is quite flexible, as I can accommodate various schedules throughout the week, be it mornings, afternoons, evenings or nights. My desire to work as a full-time or part-time Nanny or Babysitter is aptly complemented by my ability to perform a range of duties. Besides child care, these include cooking, light housekeeping, running errands, grocery shopping, doing the laundry to walking the dog and even pet care. Having experience with children aged 3 and above, I'm comfortable handling all age groups, even accommodating four or more children at a time. In addition to high school graduation, I'm also certified in CPR Training and have completed several college courses in child education. My fervor to work with children extends to those with disabilities too, making myself an inclusive caregiver. If you believe I may be a good fit for your family, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm looking forward to joining a new family as a nanny starting from 21.07.2025.
My first work in childcare was babysitting my younger cousins and younger friends from school. Later, I volunteered at the Montrose Child Care Center in Toronto for 7-8 months. My responsibilities included assisting the main ECE and finding ways to occupy the kids. This is when I fell in love with childcare. I left Toronto to attend Concordia University for their child studies program. After returning to Toronto in the summer, I was offered a full-time paid position at the Montrose Child Care Center. I worked there full-time until the school year began. I returned briefly this summer before returning to Montreal. I have a lot of child care experience for someone my age.
