My name is Elaine . I am 23 years old. I came from Lagos, Nigeria to Montreal, Quebec to pursue my masters in Quality System Engineering at Concordia University. We are 8 in my family, my dad, mom and my 5 siblings. I have three of my siblings here in Canada and the other two with my parents in Nigeria. I obtained my Bachelor degree in Computer science from Nile University of Nigeria. My interests are cooking, watching movies (my favourite movie genres are action, mystery, psychological thriller, sci-fi, romance), kdrama in particular 🤭😅, listening to music, reading books, cleaning, helping people. I like to indulge in sports like table tennis, badminton and basketball. I consider myself a proactive and thorough person and also a proud porphyrophile. I’m known for smiling a lot 😅. I love meeting new people and making friends. I am a very calm person and hardly get upset. I respect people’s boundaries and always make sure to ask questions about my behavior just to prevent getting them upset. I love compromises rather than having just my way so that no one feels cheated. I like making people smile and happy. I look forward to making you smile too!🤗 My housekeeping experience was in my house in Lagos, Nigeria. Whenever I cleaned, I would get an allowance because my dad felt that I cleaned like a professional would. I love cleaning and maintaining a clean space because it has proved to help me have a clean mind. I feel that it does the same to others too.

If I were caring for children as a nanny, I’d start by building trust, that is, getting to know what they like, playing with them, and making sure they feel comfortable with me. Safety would be my top priority, so I’d follow the parents’ guidelines, stick to their routines, and always be prepared for any emergencies. I’d also make sure to be emotionally supportive, listening to their feelings and reassuring them when they need it. Keeping them engaged is important too, so I’d encourage learning through play, storytelling, and creative activities while respecting the family’s values. I’d always try to set a good example by being kind, patient, and showing positive behavior. And of course, I’d take care of myself too, so I have the energy and patience to give them the best care possible!
