I'm Emily, I am currently a third year bachelor's student at Concordia University studying a specialization in psychology. I am 20 years old and am originally I am from Ontario, but moved here for university in 2022. I come from a large family and have always been surrounded by children as I have many cousins who I grew up regularly caring for. I value family deeply and have always believed in the benefits of having a strong family/support system in place. School has always been something I am very passionate about, throughout high school I was in several clubs, received subject proficiency awards, achieved honor roll every year and graduated with the Ontario scholar award in my final year. My interest has carried over into my university studies where I study psychology, with a specific interest in child psychology as well as developmental psychology. I am enrolled in a specialization program and will be starting up school again in September. Outside of school I enjoy reading, writing, painting, working out, the outdoors, and exploring the city. I also have always enjoyed animals and have volunteered at an animal shelter for 4 years. I am a very organized and reliable individual, I thrive on routine and responsibilities.

I previously have worked as a receptionist for Decra Stone Landscaping where I was responsible for making calls, maintaining an organized workplace, ordering supplies from various companies and scheduling projects. I have experience working as a nanny, this past summer I cared for two different families. The children ranged in age from 6 months old to 3 years old. However I also have experience caring for children ranging in age from 2 months olds to 12 year olds. I am familiar with responsibilities such as cooking, cleaning, bathing children, entertaining and creating lots of fun activities for them. I have always loved children and feel that this type of employment would fit perfectly with my schooling schedule and lifestyle. My primary and preferred language is English, but I also have mild experience with French and Portuguese. I take public transportation and would be more than willing to help with school pick up and drop offs via the metro. I look forward to meeting you and your little ones!!
