Hi, my name is Emily, I am a 20 year old student and I am looking for a job in childcare! I was born and raised in Ottawa before moving to Montreal to start studying political science at Concordia University. I have one younger sister with a relatively large age difference which taught me how to be responsible, and gave me childcare experience. I am a patient and compassionate person which has lead me to take up jobs in childcare in the past, including babysitting and as a camp counsellor with special needs children. These experiences have allowed me to understand the requirements and responsibilities that come with taking care of children, making me adept at handling the challenges that such roles often entail. Outside of school and work, I like swimming, reading, the outdoors, art and baking, and I look forward to sharing these passions with the children in my care! .

- Camp Counselor, Children at Risk; Ottawa, On. March 2019- March 2020 - At Children at Risk I worked one-on-one with autistic children, occasionally acting as a group leader. As a counselor I had various responsibilities in caring for a child such as assisting the child in daily tasks and recreational activities, as well as ensuring that their needs were met. When working as a group leader, I oversaw a group of campers and their individual counsellors, assisting the counselors in caring for their campers, as well as planning activities. -Babysitting; Ottawa, On. - I have previous experience babysitting for families with 1-2 children. My responsibilities would usually include preparing meals for the children and assisting them in their daily routines.
